Nestled in the heart of the Gers region, La Seigneurie de Tillac captivates at first glance: an elegant 18th-century residence surrounded by wooded gardens, where history and tranquility blend gracefully. A former noble house built on the ruins of a medieval castle, it now offers a refined haven of peace, combining old-world charm with contemporary comfort. Here, time seems to stand still: stroll under the magnolias, enjoy breakfast on the terrace, recharge your batteries by the pool—everything invites you to enjoy the gentle Gascon way of life.

Justkitchens had the pleasure of working on their project to renovate their old office into a beautiful kitchen that opens onto the outdoors.
This historic location provided the ideal setting for an exceptional design project. Initially, the room housed a traditional office with a cozy atmosphere, characterized by its solid wood furniture and period pieces. The owners wanted to transform this space into a custom-designed, welcoming, and refined kitchen, combining old-world character with modern comfort.
A tailor-made project combining heritage and modernity
JustKitchens designed an ‘elegant country’ style kitchen, perfectly suited to the spirit of the house. The aim was to create a warm, functional and harmonious space, while respecting the authenticity of the location.
The Neptune Suffolk model was chosen, an iconic collection known for its balance between classic lines and meticulous finishes. The soft, natural Olive colour subtly complements the original materials and the generous light provided by the large windows.
Before the project was carried out, a detailed 3D plan provided a strikingly realistic visualisation of the entire project. These immersive views — such as those shown above — were essential for refining the volumes, colours and layout of the furniture.
They offer an accurate preview of the desired atmosphere: a harmony between tradition and modernity, where each element, from the curved furniture to the choice of black and white checkerboard flooring, naturally finds its place.
This design tool facilitated communication between the owners and designers, ensuring a result that perfectly matched their expectations.

Noble materials and harmonious colours
Once approved, the project came to life with particular attention paid to every detail. The painted wooden façades highlight the craftsmanship of the furniture, while Little Greene paint enhances the depth and elegance of the whole.
Light stone worktops, discreet storage and delicate finishes create an atmosphere that is both understated and refined.
The black and white chequerboard floor adds a graphic touch that highlights the olive colour of the furniture and the lightness of the walls. (
To combine comfort and technology, the kitchen also features sensor-activated LED lighting: the lights come on automatically when the doors are opened, providing perfect visibility in the cupboards while preserving the overall aesthetic simplicity.
A successful transformation

From an old office to an exceptional kitchen, the transformation is spectacular. The new space blends naturally into the spirit of La Seigneurie, while meeting today's requirements for comfort and functionality. This project perfectly illustrates the JustKitchens philosophy: enhancing character.
