Borough: a new silhouette for Neptune furniture

Among the new additions, the Borough is probably the one that best illustrates this new approach.

With its sculptural silhouette and slightly curved, ergonomic backrest, the Borough chair combines mid-century inspiration with a distinctly British sensibility.

Its solid oak base and frame give it a natural presence, whilst its upholstered seat provides added comfort around the table. Neptune also emphasises traditional joinery and a design built to last.

Borough Darkened Oak & Tan Leather

In its darkened oak and cognac leather version, the Borough takes on a much warmer and more sophisticated character.

The contrast between the dark wood and the natural leather works particularly well in a dining room with neutral tones, but can also add depth to a light-coloured kitchen.

This is a chair that can easily become a statement piece around an oak table or a large contemporary farmhouse table.

Borough Darkened Oak & Olive Cotton Velvet

The same design is also available with an Olive cotton velvet seat.

This version adds a more subtle touch of colour and allows you to introduce green into the dining room without necessarily having to opt for fully painted furniture.

The result looks particularly striking in an interior where natural wood, earthy tones and textiles are already present.

Borough Natural Oak & Ecru Bouclé

In contrast, the natural oak and ecru bouclé version opts for a softer look.

The bouclé adds a warm, contemporary texture, whilst the oak retains the timeless look characteristic of Neptune furniture.

It is probably one of the easiest combinations to incorporate into a light-filled interior, whether it’s classic, country chic or contemporary.

When a chair becomes a decorative feature

Choosing a chair is not just about comfort. Seated around a table, it plays a key role in creating the room’s atmosphere and can even become one of its most striking decorative features.

Neptune’s Ascot collection is a fine example of this. With its elegant lines, enveloping backrest and generously upholstered seat, the Ascot immediately brings a more assertive presence to any dining setting.

Oak, leather, linen, velvet or bouclé: which material should you choose?
